Review: Essentially a condensed version of his previous book Africa, this release shows the finest fruits of Poliza’s travels through Africa. Despite the title, the book focuses almost exclusively on the safari opportunities and wildlife that the southern part of the continent plays host to, with a scattering of landscapes thrown in. Perhaps the finest point of the book highlights the predatory disposition that the featured animals share, while their natural contrast with the landscape that surrounds them works to produce a body of commendable work. Lacking the humorous nature of similar books, the book takes a somewhat serious look at the animals’ environments while serving as a handy pictoral guide for any safari enthusiast.
