Review: The Digital SLR Bible focuses on the key abilities of SLR cameras. Some space is sadly wasted comparing digital and film workflows before Hicks begins the business of running through the abilities of today’s SLRs. Practical techniques are a little thin on the ground, thanks to Hicks’s preference for description over instruction, but the tome does offer a useful background to the key issues surrounding SLR photography.
