Forget slipping prints into flip-albums or storing them under the bed in a shoe box – a photo book is a much neater way of presenting and sharing your photographs. However, everyone has their own particular tastes and this is where Fotobook’s photo books excel.

With a choice of 12 cover finishes and five sizes with a customisable number of pages, producing a book that fits your requirements is easy. You can even add a title to the cover.

Laying out the pages is done using Fotobook’s free-to-download, Windows-only software or you can request a free ‘offline kit’, which includes templates for Mac users. If you want to get a little more creative you can lay out your pages ‘freehand’ in an image-editing package before uploading them to Fotobook or burning the JPEG files to CD and dropping it in the post. The inclusion of a blank CD as part of the offline kit is a nice touch.

Once Fotobook has received your project it takes around 10 days for your book to drop through your letterbox, and the results are well worth the wait. Printed on 170gsm satin paper (heavyweight 250gsm paper for a pocket book) our sample album is immaculate. The images are free from dust marks, the colours are excellent and the padded cover on our ‘shimmer white’ special was a surprise bonus. Fotobook’s books may not be the cheapest, but the extensive options and overall quality makes it money well spent.
