DSLR cameras for beginners:
Canon EOS 600D
You'd be forgiven for mistaking the EOS 600D's specs for those of the EOS 550D, its predecessor. Although the sensor may be the same a number of subtle changes to the metering, processing and ISO range generally improve the camera, while the flip-out-and-swivel LCD screen makes shooting at high and low angles far easier.

A simple, straightforward DSLR that does little flashy and is all the better for it. The 12MP sensor and 3inch LCD screen won't entice anyone comparing specifications, but the general design and image quality is enough to ensure even absolute beginners will be able to take a decent image regardless of their experience level.
Although there are a few small niggles niggles the D3100 is still a superb camera, offering the kind of specs that would easily befit a mid-range model. The full HD movie mode especially is an impressive addition, making the D3100 a superbly rounded DSLR.
