Latest prime lens combined wide angle and fast maximum aperture

Nikon has today announced an eye-catching FX format lens which combines an attractive maximum aperture and a wide-angle focal length.

The new AF-S NIKKOR f/1.8G ED picks up where the popular 20mm f/2.8D left off 20 years ago. However, the latest model builds on that prime lenses performance thanks to the larger maximum aperture and better all round AF performance.

The new lens also benefits from Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coating, while the lenses 13 elements in 11 groups include two Extra-low dispersion glass elements and two aspherical lens elements for improved image quality.

Finally, the lens benefits from improved ergonomics and at just 355g it’s not going to weigh down the kit bag.

The new NIKKOR AF-S 20mm f/1.8G ED will be available from 25th September with an RRP of £679.99
