Panasonic's burgeoning FS series sees a new addition with the Panasonic FS11. Can it carry the mantle of its predecessors? The Panasonic FS11 review finds out...
Panasonic Lumix FS11 Review
The Panasonic FS11 is the latest model in the omnipresent FS series of affordable quality compact cameras from Panasonic. Much like it’s peers, it combines sleek, understated design with a full specification belying its affordable price tag.
The Panasonic FS11 features a high the 1/2.33in CCD sensor common across the range and offers a high 14.1MP resolution. The Leica optics feature a 5x optical zoom, offering a focal range of 280-140mm in equivalent terms, while a 2.7in, 230k pixel LCD also features. The Panasonic FS11 incorporates Panasonics iA intelligent auto mode, while the model also benefits from the inclusion of HD movie recording.
Much like the rest of Panasonics FS range, the Panasonic FS11 is sleekly designed, fits easily in the pocket, is affordable and is a pleasure to use. The only complaint is that the extra resolution on a similar sized sensor means more noise at high ISO setting, but overall image quality is impressive.
