Dimbola Lodge Museum is hosting a photography exhibition of the work of Mary Kocol.
?Collecting Light: Pictures from the Winter Season? is a collection of photographs taken during winter in Boston, the subject of Mary?s photography since 1988.
Mary uses a ?timed exposure? technique in her photography, in which the shutter is open for several minutes, during which light enters through the lens, capturing the different light positions and movements.
The exhibition will run from December 2nd until January 15th 2006, Mary will be giving a talk on December 3rd at Dimbola Lodge, which is on the Isle of Wight, from 3pm-4pm.
