4GB and 8GB capacities available

With HD video the new buzzword for digital compacts (and some DSLRs), it’s unsurprising that there’s now a whole slew of memory cards designed for high def video capture.

The latest manufacturer to bring out a specialist SDHC cards is Verbatim with cards that deliver a write speed of 9MBps and 20MBps for reading.

Capacities range from the 4GB card, which is claimed to be able to hold 90 minutes of medium resolution video footage to the 8GB card, which can store 180 minutes of footage or 60 minutes at the highest resolution.

The HD Video SDHC cards are £12.99 for the 4GB card and £17.99 for the 8GB model.
