The 3490 and 3590 scanners are two new entries into Epson?s Perfection Photo range, with the ability to scan photos and 35mm film.
Both devices have a scanning resolution of 3200x6400dpi and offer USB 2.0 image data transfer. With a suggested retail price of £79, the Perfection 3490 Photo is Epson?s most economical scanner. Supplied film holders enable it to scan three mounted slides or 35mm film at once, it features a preview mode and can also distinguish between black and white and positive and negative film,
Retailing at £99 the Perfection 3590 Photo is slightly more expensive ? it includes an Automatic Film Loader that can be used for scanning a strip of 35mm film composed of six frames.

You can scan your image, attach it to an email or create a PDF by using four buttons that are located on the front of both devices. A range of software is supplied including: Arcsoft PhotoImpression 5, Epson Creativity Suite and ABBYY FineReader Sprint 6.
A Multi-Photo Feeder is also available that can scan multiple photographs.
