New Tamron SP AF17-50mm f2.8 XR Di II lens with wide aperture throughout its wide-mid range.

Tamron announces the SP AF17-50mm f2.8 XR Di II VC LD Aspherical [IF] lens, a high speed f2.8 wide to mid-telephoto zoom lens designed exclusively for Nikon and Canon DSLR cameras and includes an in-built AF motor – though coverage is designed for smaller-sized sensors, not full-frame coverage. Featuring Tamron’s Vibration Compensation (VC) to help minimise the effect of camera shake, the Tamron SP 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di II VC lens covers a 17-50mm focal length range (26-78mm equivalent). Its wide aperture will attract those looking for shallow depth of field of low light performance in their work – an ideal ‘step up’ or replacement from standard kit lens.

Available for Nikon mount in September and Canon mount in October, price £530
