Constructed from 13 elements in 9 groups, the new optical design includes a Low Dispersion (LD) element to compensate for chromatic aberration, while ghosting and flare are kept to a minimum through Internal Surface Coatings.
The lens enables a minimum focusing distance over the entire zoom range of 95cm and the nine-blade diaphragm construction is designed to produce natural blurred effects when needed. For better handling, Tamron has enhanced the zoom and focus controls.
