Looking to build on the success of its Cyber-shot T9 compact, Sony has unveiled a new addition to its T series of lifestyle models.
The Cyber-shot T10 features a 7.2MP Super HAD CCD and Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens. Double anti-blur technology is also boasted, which combines Super SteadyShot with a new higher sensitivity to help prevent and minimise blur. A 2.5in Clear Photo LCD Plus screen is additionally featured, for use in conjunction with a built-in ‘Slideshow with Music’ function.
Super SteadyShot uses a gyro-based optical image stabiliser that adjusts the lens element position to combat camera shake when shooting handheld or at low shutter speeds. This feature can also be used in combination with a slow shutter or small apertures for more creative shots ? even in Movie mode.
The second anti-blur technology employed in the Cyber-shot T10 is the camera?s ?High Sensitivity? capability. This incorperates Clear RAW NR (Noise Reduction) processing to boost signal to noise performance while increasing sensitivity up to ISO1000.
The camera?s 1/2.5? 7.2MP Super HAD CCD sensor works in conjunction with the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical Zoom lens. A folded path system keeps lens and prism within the camera body, maintaining its 21mm profile. Selectable at the single touch of a button, Magnifying Glass mode allows shooting at distances as close as 1cm.
For wider creative options, Sony has added five new colour modes. Standard mode aims to preproduce ?natural, lifelike images?. Vivid mode enhances colours, while Natural mode reproduces subtle colour images. Sepia and Monochrome modes are also available. Nine pre-set Scene modes ? including Twilight, Snow, Fireworks and Beach ? adjust all camera settings for a range of shooting conditions.
The Cyber-shot T10 will be available from September in silver and pink version, for an estimated price of £279. Find out full details at www.sony.co.uk
