Packed with Real Life Technologies and featuring the new Design Gallery, HP has introduced two metal compacts.
Constructed from stainless steel, the R927 has an 8.1MP CCD, while the aluminium R727 has a resolution of 6MP. Both cameras include a 3x optical zoom.
Incorporated into the cameras is HP?s Design Gallery, containing a selection of in-camera effects. These effects include photo frames, filters and colour effects that can be applied to digital photographs, along with a virtual slimming function.
About the size of a pack of cards, the cameras are slimmer than HP?s current crop of digital cameras, and include LCDs that provide a 170° viewing angle.
On-screen image advice offering guidance on how to improve a photograph is one of the Real Life technologies found on the cameras. Automatic In-Camera Red-Eye Removal corrects red-eye, In-camera Panorama Stitching joins together five separate images to create a panorama, and HP Video Prints enables users to save individual frames from video they have taken.
Supplied with the cameras is HP Photosmart Premier software. Both cameras are compatible with the HP Photosmart 6222 Wireless Dock.
The HP R927 retails for around £240, or for £299 with the HP Photosmart 6221 Camera Dock. The HP R727 costs around £199, or £249 with the 6221 Camera Dock.
Both cameras will be available from April. Find out more at www.hp.com/uk or by calling 0845 270 4000.
