Both models have been designed to work with ?the latest TTL auto exposure systems of all popular manufacturers? digital and film SLR cameras?, with each featuring a guide number of 53.

The EF 530 DG ST model features a manual mode, illumination from 17mm when used with built-in the Wide Panel and an Autozoom function, which sets the optimum illumination angle in accordance with the lens? focal length.

The EF 530 DG Super, meanwhile, boasts an array of functions such as high-speed flash, multi-pulse flash and a manual mode, and an Auto Power-Off mode to help save battery power by shutting off the display.

Both models are available for Sigma AF, Canon AF, Sony AF, Nikon AF and Pentax AF systems, with RRPs of £129.99 and £219.99 for the DG ST and Super models, respectively.
