Sigma has introduced a new ultra-telephoto lens for Sigma, Canon and Nikon-D mounts.
The 800mm f.5.6 APO EX DG/HSM includes a multi-layer coating, designed to reduce the effects of ghosting and flare and a Hyper Sonic Motor to ensure auto-focusing is fast and quiet.
Constructed from 12 Elements in 9 groups, to decrease the effect of chromatic aberration and ensure sharp images, the lens includes two Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) glass elements.
An additional 1.4x EX APO teleconverter extends the lens to 1120mm f/8, while a 2.0x EX APO teleconverter turns it into a 1600mm f/11 MF lens.
