The 5MP Digimax i5 is Samsung?s first slim-line digital camera to feature an internal 3x optical zoom lens in a body 17.3mm thick.
Constructed from stainless steel, the i5 is available in four colours: black, red, silver and blue and includes a 2.5in LCD screen composed of 230,000 pixels.
The i5 can capture 30fps VGA movies with sound that can be edited in camera, while movie stabiliser will help to rectify camera shake. Scene modes are optimised for different shooting scenarios including: children, sunset, landscape and fireworks, the text recognition mode can be used with supplied Digimax Viewer to photograph text. Auto Macro enables the camera to automatically focus as close as 5cm, without the need to switch to a separate macro mode, although the Super Macro mode focuses as close as 1cm.
Other features include colour effects and frames that can be added to pictures, USB 2.0 transfer and a safety flash function designed to reduce the effect of red eye.
