10.2MP, 10.7x optical zoom

Ricoh has announced its latest compact camera, the CX2. The model succeeds the CX1, released only in March of this year, and offers a range of imaging tools along with a strong specification.

The model boasts a 10.2MP CMOS sensor, paired with an impressive 10.7x, 28-300mm optical zoom. The CX2 also features a continuous shooting rate of some 5fps, driven by Ricoh’s Smooth Imaging Engine IV.

New scene modes are also present, including high-contrast B&W mode and miniaturise mode, aimed at expanding creativity.

Expect to see the Ricoh CX2 available shortly, with an RRP of £299.99.
