Panasonic has unveiled a prototype of its second G-series camera, said to be capable of HD-quality video recording.

The prototype shown followed a similar design to the existing G1, save for the addition of a microphone on the top-plate and a dedicated record button on the rear, the latter of which will activate movie recording.

The camera is set to launch next spring at an undisclosed price.
