Pentax has introduced a lightweight 6MP compact with a 3x optical zoom. Promising easy operation, the Optio M10 includes a 35-105mm (35mm equivalent) Pentax lens, featuring two aspherical elements that are designed to reduce the effects of chromatic aberration.
The 2.5in LCD includes an auto dimmer function, which automatically adjusts the brightness depending on the light level, to ensure clear visibility in different shooting conditions.
Power is supplied using AA cells. Pentax claims an enhanced battery life of 220 shots when AA alkaline cells are used and 900 shots with AA lithium cells ? seven times longer than conventional cameras.
Icons on the virtual palette features can be used for quickly selecting scene modes, while other features include: Tracking AF, ImageLink compatibility for wireless printing, 22MB internal memory and 10cm macro.
