Olympus has introduced a new Zuiko digital lens compatible with the E-1 and E-300.
The Zuiko Digital ED 8mm 1:3:5 Fisheye lens offers a diagonal 180° angle of view suitable for photographing panoramas and it can produce macro photographs from as close as 2cm.
Chromatic aberration is kept to a minimum thanks to an ED element, while a special coating helps reduce the effects of flare and ghosting. Images have a natural background blurring, due to the circular aperture diaphragm.
The dust and water-resistant lens is compatible with the optional PPO-E04 underwater lens port, enabling photographs to be taken underwater.
