The Olympus mju 700 includes 7.1MP, a 3x optical zoom and BrightCapture Technology.
Designed to improve visibility in low-light conditions, BrightCapture Technology enables the 2.5in LCD to be 400x brighter than conventional screens.
The 3x optical zoom has a focal length of 37-111mm (35mm equiv) and it can focus 8cm away from the subject in Super Macro Mode.
Featuring a weatherproof metal body, the mju 700 has a maximum sensitivity of ISO 1600, which can be extended to ISO 2500 for 3MP photographs and also doubles the flash range.
The 23 scene modes include: Night scene, Beach and snow, and Candle. Other features include a Guide Function, displaying on-screen advice and a 640×480 movie mode.
Available in March for £230, the slimline mju 700 comes in four colours: sunset orange, midnight black, twilight blue and moonlight silver.
