All budding student photographers will be out looking for inspiration once again to become Olmec’s Student Digital Photographer of the Year 2005.
In a bid to discover some of the best talent in the country, the competition is open for entries from students studying photography either full or part-time. This year’s theme ‘Images for Life’ is split into three categories – People, Places, and Still Life.
Sponsored by ICI Imagedata, the overall winner will receive a cash prize of £2000, each category winner will receive £250, and the winning college or university will receive £500 worth of Olmec products. The judging panel will be handing out special additional prizes. Entrants will also have the chance to participate at the BAA Gallery based at Heathrow Airport, where their images may be shown to a wider, more international audience.
The closing date is 6 March, 2006. For a chance of winning these fantastic prizes contact your college or university, which can register for entry through a completed entry form, or by accessing the ICI Imagedata website at www.ici-imagedata.com.
