Live Labs announce partnership with CNN to ‘capture the moment of transition’

Microsoft is inviting photographic contributions from attendees of the presidential inauguration with a view to creating one massive Photosynth of the event.

In what Microsoft claim with be ‘the most immersive and detailed experience of a single moment ever created’, the company will use the Photosynth software to combine images taken by CNN photographers with contributions from the general public.

Attendees looking to participate simply need to take a photo from their position and then head over to CNN for directions as to how to contribute. Once Microsoft has finished moulding together the multitude of images, the result will be made public on CNN. Stay tuned to the Photosynth Live Labs blog for further details, and to see some pre-inauguration ‘synths’.
