Battersea Park plays host to the Affordable Art Fair Spring Collection, aiming to make art enjoyable and accessible to everyone
Taking place on 15-19th March 2006, the event is designed to enable people to learn about and buy original art in a relaxed environment. Paintings, prints and sculptures will be displayed in more than 125 galleries and all products on sale will retail for under £3000.
Research undertaken by the Affordable Art Fair indicates that many people feel ?intimidated by the art scene, and in the dark when it comes to making that all-important first purchase?. The research found that 64% of people would like to own a piece of art, in contrast to the third of people that actually do. Also, 30% of people are unsure about how to find art, 84% are put off by the high prices and 13% are intimidated by the process of buying art.
AAF Photo2006, an exhibition selling work from a selection of photographic galleries including Snap, Tim Hall Photography and Lupe Gallery, returns to the fair for the second year.
