Kodak has launched of a quartet of new digital cameras, including the Z980, which features a 24x image stabilised optical zoom lens that extends from a useful 26mm wideangle.

Other key features include a 12MP sensor, 3inch LCD screen, HD video capture and Smart Capture technology and DSLR styling – or professional DSLR styling, to be more precise, as the Z980 also incorporates a detachable vertical grip with vertical shutter release.

The other new cameras are point-and-shoot models in the M-series range: the M380, M340 and M320.

The prices for all these cameras are yet to be confirmed.

Kodak expands its line of Smart Capture enabled digital cameras
