Kingston Technology has announced the launch of a new higher-capacity 8GB CompactFlash Elite Pro card. Aimed at professional photographers and enthusiasts working within the studio, catalogue or portrait fields, the new Elite Pro card is designed to offer a greater storage capacity to suit the needs of professionals who produce larger files.
The card is the latest addition to Kingston Technology?s line of Flash Memory cards – which includes 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB CompactFlash models. The company says its Elite Pro line has been created to meet the increased demands of today?s professional photographers by delivering reliable and flexible memory solutions to match their specific capacity needs. This latest addition claims to offer read speeds of up to 8 MB/sec and write speeds of up to 6.75 MB/sec.
