The Everio GZ-MG70 is a new camcorder from JVC incorporating a 30Gb built-in hard-disc drive.
Taking its place as the flagship model in the Everio G series, billed as ?the world?s first collection of camcorders to use built-in hard disk drives as a storage media.?
Incorporating a 2.12MP CCD capable of capturing 1.23MP moving images and 2MP still photographs, the hard drive on the Everio has the capacity to capture between seven hours (in ultra fine mode) and 37.5 hours (in economy mode) of video footage, eliminating the need for a memory card.
A high signal-to-noise ratio is promised from JVC?s Megabrid Imaging Engine, which is also designed to produce photos with clarity and high sensitivity.
Other features of the compact camcorder include a USB 2.0 interface for fast transfer, a 3D acceleration sensor and floating damper mechanism to reduce the effects of shock, while images can be viewed on the 2.5in LCD screen.
The GZ-MG70 is set to arrive in October, and JVC has yet to announce a price. For more information log onto www.jvc.co.uk
