The Photosmart 8250 is the latest edition to HP?s printer line-up, promising print speeds of 14 seconds.
In a first for HP, the 8250 incorporates six fade-resistant ink cartridges designed to use ink efficiently, while recirculation technology reduces the need for priming, thus reducing waste. The 6-ink technology features an air vent, ink sensor, ink reservoir and in-printer pump.
Photos can be printed directly from a selection of flash-memory cards including CompactFlash, Secure Digital and xD, as well as PictBridge-enabled cameras. Wireless printing is possible with an additional HP Bluetooth Wireless Printer Adapter.
As well as standard 6×4-inch prints, the 8250 can produce panoramic prints.
Pictures can be previewed on the 2.5-inch LCD screen, which can also be used for viewing video clips.
The print head on the 8250 has 3,900 nozzles that print up to a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. It takes as little as 14 seconds to print 6 x 4in images, and up to 32 pages of mono text can be printed in a minute. To save ink, users can swap from six cartridges to the standard four ink cartridges: cyan, magenta, black and yellow.
Auto Sense technology enables the 8250 to take information from the barcode of HP 210gsm Photo Paper, which adjusts the print settings depending on the size of the paper.
The HP Photosmart 8250 will be available to buy on 18th August for £179.99. For more information, see www.hp.com/uk or call 0870 010 4320.
