Kodak used this weeku2019s CES show to unveil its next generation of female-focused EasyShare products, including new 8 and 10-megapixel cameras.

Kodak used this week?s CES show in Las Vegas to unveil its next generation of EasyShare products, designed with the female consumer in mind.

Two new cameras headline the new range, representing 8 and 10-megapixel additions – the V803 and V1003. Both cameras feature 2.5? screens, a new higher 1600 ISO, 3x KODAK RETINAR Aspheric zoom lenses, and come in multiple signature colour choices with fun accessories. Kodak estimates that 70% of camera consumers will be female this year, and have designed a range of female-focused accessories such as jewelled camera straps and leather cases that look more like handbags than photographic equipment. The cameras come in pink bliss, red shimmer, cosmic blue, mystic purple, golden dream, white glaze, silver essence, slate grey and java black, with matching accessories available in each.

A new menu feature called ?Maintain Settings? stores users? preferred settings for flash, white balance, ISO and resolution between uses. With a further Favourites feature, users can keep special pictures on the camera all the time for showing and sharing, without filling up the internal memory.

Further key features include:

  • 22 scene modes, including on-camera panorama stitching
  • VGA video (640 x 480) with sound at 30 fps; includes trimming and tagging for easy editing and searching
  • On-camera tools including blurry picture alert, digital red-eye reduction and picture cropping for consistently better shots.

Also announced at CES is the new C653 Zoom Digital Camera with 6-megapixels resolution and 3X optical zoom. The entry-level is aimed at consumers searching for a simple camera. It features a 2.4-inch indoor/outdoor colour display, an anti-blur mode and KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology for better image rendition.

?As consumers look for more ways to expand their picture taking experience, 10- and 8-megapixel Digital Cameras make it fun to personalize the camera look and feel,? said Pierre Schaeffer, chief marketing officer, Kodak?s Consumer Digital Imaging Group. ?Kodak continues to delight consumers by providing new ways to express themselves, enhancing the overall digital photography experience.?
