A summary of what was announced at this year’s show

The 21st Focus on Imaging show drew to a close yesterday, having been visited by many thousands of photography enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Panasonic had arguably the busiest stand at the show, owning to the combined launch of the new G2 and G10, along with a display theatre showcasing its new 3D TV technology. The Panasonic stand also received the accolade of ‘Best Stand in Show’ award from the organisers themselves.

Other highlights around the show included Sony’s expansive stand, complete with demonstrations of its Transferjet wireless file transfer technology, while Tamron used the show as a platform to announce its latest lens – the 70-300mm USM.

Nikon announced its new multi-million pound advertising campaign under the ‘I Am Nikon’ moniker, with the promise of a range of high-profile product launches on the horizon.
