Scan, print and copy with Epson?s new all-in-one, aimed at photo enthusiasts. Joining Epson?s Stylus Photo range, the RX640 has an interface that can be used by photographers of all abilities.
Producing borderless prints in under a minute, the printer utilises six ink cartridges that can be replaced individually, while Variable-Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) produces ink droplets as small as 1.5pl, for photos with smooth detail.
You can print directly from memory cards using the built-in card reader. Alternatively prints can be obtained from a Bluetooth-enabled device with a Bluetooth module; or from a PictBridge-compatible camera.
Users can print directly onto printable CD/DVDs, and preview their photos on the 2.5in Photo Fine colour LCD monitor, which has a resolution of 256ppi.
To produce optimum prints the RX640 includes Epson PhotoEnhance technology, which detects the type of image ? be it portrait or landscape ? and automatically adjusts the brightness and contrast. For portrait pictures, the face is brightened and the contrast softened, while the contrast of landscape shots is increased.
The 3200×6400 dpi Matrix CCD scanner includes a built-in transparency unit for positive and negative scans. Easy Photo Fix removes dust, scratches and dirt, as well as restoring colour to scans.
