The Ultimate Lithium battery promises to offer digital camera users seven times more use than standard AA cells.
Designed for use in mobile devices, such as MP3 players, PDAs and GPS systems, Energiser has used patented technology that enables each cell to have 1.5 volts of power. Functioning within a temperature range of ?40 to +60 degrees, the leak-resistant cells are 33% lighter than standard alkaline cells and are Mercury and Cadmium free. Energiser promises a 15-year shelf life at a price twice that of standard AA cells.
Paul Ardrun from Energiser comments: ?We are thrilled to be launching Energiser Ultimate Lithium, the world?s longest lasting AA and AAA batteries in high tech devices, to meet consumers? needs for a battery which won?t let them down.?
Energiser Ultimate Lithium is available from August in AA sizes in packs of two and four, costing £4.99 and £6.99 respectively. AAA cells will cost £4.99 in a two pack, and £6.99 in a pack of four triple AAA, which will be available in November.
