12 selections from almost 8,000 entries

DK has announced the winners to its Eyewitness Travel PhotoBritain Competition.

The contest was a great success, seeing almost 8,000 entries in twelve different categories – Iconic, Heritage, Wild and My Britain, captured by Amateur, Professional and ‘under 16’ photographers.

The overall winner, chosen by a panel of judges including photographer Tom Ang, was Frame Muller. Muller’s image, an entry into the Heritage Amateur category, depicts Leeds Castle bathed in a winter sunset glow.

Muller’s winning image will be featured on the front cover of the DK Eyewitness Great Britain Guide 2010, while Muller also wins £100 of DK books, a £1,500 Landmark Trust holiday voucher, £100 of PhotoBox vouchers and a PhotoBox canvas of their winning images.
