Currys has launched a national photography competition in conjunction with the Daily Telegraph and Olympus.

The competition – titled ?Our Lives? – is to run over the next 13 weeks and offers a variety of photographic prizes, including a fortnight?s holiday for two and a range of Olympus camera kit.

Entrants can submit up to twenty photographs across five different categories; ?Our People?, ?Our Places?, ?Our Environment?, ?Our Lives in Motion? and ?Our Events?.

Currys and the Daily Telegraph will be publishing lessons during the duration of the contest on how best to interpret the various competition categories.

The top nine photographs in each category will be featured at an exhibition in central London, at the end of which the finalists will be invited to a private ceremony where world-renowned photographer David Bailey will select the winners.

?Through the lessons, reviews and technical tips offered as part of this competition and available in-store, we hope everyone really gets to grips with digital photography,? commented Dave Poulter of Currys.

The closing date for submissions is 11th August, with the winners to be announced on 8th September.
