Exilim FC100 and FC10 on their way

Today has been a massive day for camera launches and Casio has joined the throng by launching five new models.

Headlining are the Exilim FC100 and FC10, which both pack in nine megapixels, but their biggest draw is their abilities to capture 720p HD movies at a staggering 1000fps. According to Pocket-lint, they are also capable of capturing six megapixel still images at 30fps in burst mode.

The two new launches are also the first to feature a new technology called Dynamic Photo mode which lets photographers crop moving subjects from their images and then paste them onto another background.

For its $399 price tag, the FC100 has a 2.7 inch LCD screen and 5x zoom, whilst the $349 FC10 has a smaller 2.5 inch LCD screen and offers a 3x optical zoom. We don’t have UK pricing as yet.

CES also saw the launch of the Exilim S5, which is a 10.1 megapixel snapper with a 2.7 inch screen and 3x zoom as well as a YouTube movie capture mode for $179.

And finishing off were the E-Z270 and EX-Z400, which deliver 10.1 megapixels and 12 megapixels respectively, as well as 4x optical zooms, image stabilisation (optical in the EX-Z270), and are priced $229 and $299.

We’ll bring you more information about their UK launches when we have it.
