Casio has unveiled a new superzoom compact, claiming it to be the world’s lightest and thinnest camera with a 10x optical zoom or greater.

The model, the EX-H10, weighs just 164g and is 24.3mm thick, with its 10x optical zoom stretching from 24-240mm.   

Capturing 12.1MP images onto a CCD sensor, the new model is said to benefit from Casio’s CCD-based image stabilisation technology, as well as Casio’s Exilim 4.0 processing engine.

Other highlights include a 3in LCD screen, as well as a HD movie mode which captures video files at a resolution of 1280 x 720p at 30fps.

Casio also claims the model is capable of capturing 1,000 images on a single charge of its lithium-ion battery.
