Casio announces high-speed Exilim EX-F1 compact

Casio has announced the Exilim EX-F1, with a burst mode capable of 60fps.

The compact features a six megapixel CMOS sensor and a 12x optical zoom, with an equivalent focal length of 36 to 432mm. Its headline feature, however, is its burst mode, capable of capturing 60fps at its full six megapixel resolution. A Rapid Flash function also features, which allows high-speed flash shooting at 7fps, for up to 20 shots.

The camera?s movie mode allows recording at 1,200 fps ? this itself is too fast for the human eye, and has been designed for ?ultra-slow motion playback?. In addition, the camera also supports High Definition recording, at a burst rate of 60fps and at a resolution of 1920x1080pixels.

Other features include a 2.8in wide LCD screen with a 230,160pixel resolution, an ISO range stretching from ISO100-1600 and support for Raw shooting.

The camera will be available from March at a US RRP of $999.99. For further information visit www.casio.co.uk
