Canon has released version 1.0.9 of the firmware for its Canon EOS 550D DSLR.

The update tackles an issue with Auto Lighting Optimiser settings. Apparently tone jumps were noticeable in some images, depending on shooting scene, when using the Auto Lighting Optimiser settings.
