A total of $5000 in prize money is up for grabs as Adobe bids to find the best in student design talent.
Now in its sixth year, the competition celebrates promising graphic designers, photographers, animators, digital filmmakers and computer artists from leading film, design and broadcast institutions. Involving 24 countries, this year?s competition includes, for the first time, China, Hong Kong and Norway.
Students are invited to submit entries into nine categories including: digital photography, digital illustration, interactive design and motion graphics, using Adobe design programs including Creative Suite 2 and Video Collection 2.5.
Finalists selected through ?originality and effectiveness in communicating project objectives? will go to an awards event in Toronto. They will also be able to showcase their work and participate in studio tours, with the opportunity to meet industry professionals. Alongside the prize money, the winner will receive a selection of design products.
Among the judges are: Julie Beeler from Second Story, Dita Katona from Concrete Design Communications, Leslie Allen from Cinergy Creative and Rodolphe Guenoden from Dreamworks Animation.
