BenQ has announced a 10MP addition to its compact range, in the shape of the E1000.

Featuring a ten-megapixel sensor, a 3in LCD screen and full manual control, the compact sits at the top of BenQ?s current line. Also featuring a 3x optical zoom lens, maximum ISO of 1600 and ISO-based ?Super Shake Free? image stabilisation, the camera is a suitable choice for use in low-light conditions.

Up to nine faces can be detected with the camera?s Face-Tracking technology, and exposed for the correct ?colour, contrast and clearness?, while 24 scene modes take care of exposure for a variety of situations.
