The winners of the Annabel Williams Photographer of the Year awards have been announced at an event held at the Getty Images Gallery in London.

The competition attracted around 1,000 entries from around to globe, all vying for a piece of the £10,000 prize fund.

Wedding and Lifestyle photographer Sofie Louca was the big winner on the night, winning the Teenagers/Adults category of the awards, finishing runner-up in the Wedding Album category and scooping the overall Photographer of the Year prize.

As well as prizes for the category wins, Sofie also won a Canon EOS 5D MkII and lens.

Winners and runners-up were announced in seven categories, with Annabel Williams herself commenting that ‘the standard of entries was awesome… it was a tough job to shortlist the entries’.
