Adobe has announced Photoshop Elements 4.0, the latest version of its consumer image-editing software. It builds on the success of version 3.0 with a selection of new features.
The Stack photo feature enables you to position a selection of pictures behind one thumbnail as a ?stack.? Meanwhile, Face Tagging is programmed to automatically recognise faces, and you can also assign tags to people who appear frequently.
The Magic Selection Brush speeds up the process of making selections, while Automatic red-eye fix automatically recognises and removes the effects of red eye.
Adjust skin tone colour helps create realistic skin tones and you can straighten uneven horizons with the new Straighten Tool.
That?s not all. The new Order Prints palette enables you to order Kodak prints from within Elements 4.0. Search facilities have also been improved: Elements 4.0 enables you to search using the camera?s metadata as well as by colour or history. You can also create slideshows with transitions and pan and zooming effects.
Photoshop Elements 4.0 continues to offer support for a range of different RAW camera formats including: Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Konica Minolta, Pentax and Olympus.
