Adobe has announced the availability Lightroom 2.3 and Camera Raw 5.3 in ‘release candidate’ form.

While the updates are openly available for all to download from Adobe Labs, the ‘release candidate’ label refers to the fact that the versions, say Adobe, ‘would benefit from further community testing’ before being issued automatically to users.

Both updates provide Raw support for the Nikon D3X and Olympus E-30, while Lightroom 2.3 provides a solution to a memory leak that affected some Lightroom 2.2 customers.
