It may sound impossible but Panasonic batteries has launched AA cells with enough power to run a life-size car.

It may sound impossible but Panasonic batteries has launched AA cells with enough power to run a life-size car.
Panasonic claims the Digital Extreme Power Battery can deliver three times as much power as when a conventional alkaline battery is used in a digital device. The vehicle in question is an Xtreme Power Car weighing 70kg that can travel over 1km using two AA batteries instead of petrol and is large enough for a fully-grown adult to use.
The Digital Extreme Power Batteries include Oxy Nickel Hydroxide, graphite and magnesium dioxide, which when combined with a tablet mix control, enables more electrolyte to be inserted in the battery and improves performance.
Tim Clark from Panasonic Batteries comments: ?A battery with the groundbreaking energy to power a car can just as easily sit in your digital camera, and inevitably consumers want a battery that delivers optimum and longer power.?
Retailing for £4.99 and £2.99 respectively for four and two cells, the Digital Xtreme is available from retail outlets.
