Sony Ericsson announce leap forward in camera phone technology

Wednesday 18th June 2008

Sony Ericsson C905

Sony Ericsson has announced its latest Cyber-shot camera phone and in turn made a big step forward in the world of camera phone technology.

The C905 Cyber-shot takes the camera phone market to the next level with the inclusion of a specification to genuinely worry the compact camera market.

An 8.1MP sensor, the first of its resolution in a camera phone in the UK, is joined by compact-esque features such as a Xenon flash, auto focus face detection, image stabilisation and red-eye reduction.

Add to that GPS enabled geo-tagging, PictBridge printing, a 2.4in TFT screen and bundled 2GB MemoryStickMicro (M2) and the C905 Cyber-shot becomes a serious compact-worrying proposition.

Expect to see the C905 Cyber-shot on the shelves towards the end of the year (early Q4), and for more information visit www.sonyericsson.co.uk
