The Nikon Coolpix L810 is an affordable superzoom. The camera features a 26x optical zoom lens that encompasses a wideangle 22.5mm all the way through to a significant 585mm telephoto range. The inclusion of a side lever for zooming and optical image stabilisation help keep those long-distance shots extra steady.
Although there's no viewfinder as per many superzoom cameras, the L810 includes a 3in, 921k-dot LCD screen on the rear to preview and review images.
The 16-megapixel CCD sensor at the L810's core is able to captures stills from IS) 100-1600 and movie clips at 720p30.
Powered using AA-batteries, the L810 is an affordable solution with an initial asking price of £230. Available from March 22nd, the camera will come finished in black, red, blue and bronze colour options.
