Along with a number of new iPods and other products Apple announced the update to the iOS firmware will add High Dynamic Range shooting. This layers three shots, taken at different exposure values, to get the best possible amount of detail across the image.
The new operating system also fixes a number of bugs, and allows HD video to be uploaded to the likes of YouTube via wifi and printing to be performed wirelessly as well. The HDR functionality is a single touch function, and keeps the original image within the photo library.
The update will be available soon from www.apple.com

Will the update include speeding up the iPhone 3 and 3Gs which upgraded to the new OS? The new system has slowed things down, hampered reception and drops calls.
