Panasonic has added another compact to their range with the launch of the DMC-FX70, which offers a 24mm wide angle lens, 5x optical zoom and HD movie recording via the AVCHD Lite movie codec.
|The partnership with Leica has once again given a Panasonic compact some impressive optics, in this case an F2.2 maximum aperture allowing, in theory at least, for some bright images from the FX70. The Intelligent Auto mode features prominently on both the video and still side, letting the camera cater the settings to the situation and subject without any involvement from the user required. The Power Optical Image Stabiliser is also included to temper the 5x optical magnification and the 3″ LCD screen has touch control, minimizing the amount of buttons on the body.
