The GXR features interchangeable, sealed units which incorporate both a lens and matched sensor, and the camera launched with a choice of a 50mm f/2.5 macro with 12MP APS-C sensor, or a 24-72mm zoom with smaller 10MP sensor.

The two new units are a 28mm (equiv) f/2.5 with the same APS-C sensor as used in the 50mm macro unit, and a 28-300mm (equiv) zoom with a 10MP sensor and a blisteringly fast 120 frames per second high speed shooting feature.

The zoom lens is due for release in the summer and the 28mm in winter 2010. Prices are yet to be announced and no images have yet been released.
