Nikon has today announced AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED lens. The model, targeted at professional reportage and landscape photographers, is labelled by Nikon as ‘the ultimate wide angle lens’.

The Nikon 24mm f/1.4 features a new and unique optical that Nikon claims will provide improved image quality, with minimal distortion and excellent edge to corner sharpness a wider aperture settings.

The lens also benefits from a dedicated Silent Wave Motor for smooth autofocus, along with a Nano Crystal coat and ED glass for improved image quality.
